Q-Com and this site were created around 2002 when Greg Quigley decided to "jump off the corporate ladder" and into entrepreneurship. Once Q-Com stopped accepting new clients, Greg kept the site up and noticed it got much of its traffic from visitors who were looking for marketing advice and writing samples. He decided to turn the Q-Com site into a business writing samples site.

The samples included on the site were all conceptualized and written by Greg during his time running Q-Com, or at one of his previous jobs at Visit Beloit, Norlight or Metrix.

In addition, Greg and his Wife Angela just started the Milwaukee wedding site, MarriedInMilwaukee.com.
